ASSISTANCE NEEDED!! An elderly woman in Oakland is caring for her husband who is suffering from Alzheimers. She is looking for some relief in caring for him. She is willing to house a man who may need a place to stay, and even pay for his time to be with her husband. ATTENTION ALL SENIOR CITIZENS!! The Bergen County Department of Human Services, Division of Senior Services has sent a packet of information to Ponds Church. There is information on discount prescription drugs, eye care, hearing aids, etc. There's info on a Senior Farmers Market, Health Tips, and a Senior picnic! The info will be hanging in NFH on the bullitin board next to the coffee pots! Check it out!!
CAMP LOTS-OF-FUN...is a two week camp for children ages 5-12, who are currently residing in a homeless sheltering program. The camp will run from August 17th - 28th at Grace Lutheran Church in River Edge. They are looking for donations and possibly some volunteer (high school or college) camp councelors. Check out the brochure hanging in NFH.
ATTENTION MONTCLAIRE STATE UNIVERSITY STUDENTS AND GRADUATES! The Protestant chaplaincy is in need of your financial support. Please read the letter posted in NFH from The Heights Reformed Church.
HOUSING NEEDED: A woman and her son from Messiah Lutheran Church are in need of rental housing. The home they are presently living in is being sold. They would like to stay in Oakland. DONATIONS NEEDED FOR NORTH CHURCH IN NEWARK: Ponds has been collecting men's clothing for this church for several months. They have a special need for both men's and children's clothing, and "interview" clothing. They also need bathroom and cleaning products (toilet paper, paper towels and cleaning supplies).
